This content was provided by Dr. Larkin "Lisa Larkin, MD, FACP, NCMP, IF Dr. Larkin is a board-certified internist, practicing internal medicine and women's health in Cincinnati since 1991. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Long Island, NY, Dr. Larkin graduated from Skidmore College and Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago. Over the last 25 years, she has worked both in the academic and private practice settings. Most recently, Dr. Larkin designed, developed, opened and served as Director of the UC Health Women's Center, the region's first comprehensive, primary care-directed, medical home for women. She recently left that role to open an internal medicine and women's health practice that will utilize the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model – offering patients affordable, accessible, personalized medicine. She is a tireless advocate for patient and physician education, especially in the fields of women's health, menopause and perimenopause, sexual health and cancer survivorship. She has been a certified menopause clinician by NAMS since 2001, serves on the boards of both NAMS and ISSWH, provides consultation to numerous pharmaceutical and medical device organizations including the US FDA, and has provided countless hours of teaching and community lectures on women's health related topics."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Larkin "As healthcare costs continue to soar, both patients and physician practices have suffered. It's time we – both patients and physicians – regain control of how medicine is practiced.

Our practice approach provides two innovative business models for member patients of our practice. In order to be registered as a member of our practice, patients must select one of the below plans:

  • Concierge Care—An enhanced access plan for those who prefer 24/7 access to their preferred provider
  • Direct Primary Care—A new model for providing care that eliminates the obstacle of insurance and creates a direct financial relationship between the patient and the practice

Additionally, our practice offers other services (available to non-member patients.) These include:

  • Women's Health Consults
  • Medical Consults
  • Urgent Care
  • Travel Consults—Consultation with one of our providers to discuss vaccinations needed for travel outside the US

Amazing doctor--perfect balance of people skills mixed w/ technical knowledge/background...great "gut sense", curiosity & detective-like driven diagnosis skills. Also, a very nice & interesting person. I would highly recommend.
Cincinnati, OH |
Dr. Larkin and staff are very knowledgable, patient, kind, and thoughtful. I have full confidence in their practice.
Cincinnati, Ohio |
She started a new practice that does not accept insurance with an objective to provide a higher level of service with focus on time with patients. Great concept but not how she practices. Spent whole time with her face in the computer. Rarely made eye contact. Actually yelled at me and told me I was wrong. Far from what was advertised. If you are looking for a caring doctor, who listens to your need, and show some empathy, don't waste your time with Lisa Larkin. Conscierge service? No way!

This is not corporate medicine with time limits on visits. This is the best of the best superior class healthcare. I love it!
in Cincinnati, OH |
Dr. Larkin and her staff are EXCEPTIONAL in every way possible. I have found her to be adept with the unexpected, odd issues that often accompany serious, chronic illness. Incredibly bright, caring, unusually helpful, and exactly the doctor you want on your side if you are managing serious or chronic illness. She is irreplaceable. we all know the importance of a doctor's staff. If there is a team of people more on the ball, I have no idea where you'd find them. UNBELIEVABLY WARM and HELPFUL.!!
Milford, OH |
Dr. Larkin, always takes good care of me and my concerns. Recently she was out-of-town when I contacted her and she immediately had Rob contact me and resolve my issues. I love the personal touch of Dr. Larkin and shall rely on her.

Thx to Dr. Larkin, I feel well after 7 yrs of being chronic illness! Dr. L listens to her patients. We are not just test results. She thinks outside the box. When I didn't fit the "norm," other docs dismissed me - Dr. L dug deeper to figure out what was wrong. . By taking a bit of xtra time to get to know pts, she can treat the whole person, making her 3X effective. Her great staff shepherds patients thru today's "health care web. Very grateful to all of them! Love you Asst. Karen! Thank you ??
Boston, MA |
Dr. Larkin wants the very best for her patients. She is a medical detective, she never stops searching until she finds "the problem." She is incredibly kind and she is 100% with you during your appointment slot. Every quality you want in your doctor-she has and then some.
Lebanon, OH |
I have been her patient for about 10 years and in that time I have become more and more happy with the care I receive from her and her office. She is proactive, considerate and attuned to the patient's welfare.
in Cincinnati, OH |
I am entirely comfortable with the practice and the staff who are there. Even though they are now part of UC Health (Guess I have Obamacare to thank for that), the core staff has the best interest of the patient in mind. I would recommend Dr Larkin and the practice as a whole. Don't let the Womens Health designator keep you away, they do see us guys as well.
