Extraordinary clinician. Rheumatology is complex by nature, & entails in depth differential diagnosis process in an ongoing basis as your body changes and conditions change or evolve. A good Rheum MD like this one has to play the equivalent of Outfield, shortstop, & other positions to compensate for anything not up to speed among PCP's, Ob/Gyns, and other specialists. In so doing, she intercepts serious non-Rheum issues normally screened or assigned in other venues. // Truly amazing.

Dr Barbosa is a very knowledgeable and insightful doctor. I have been seeing her for about 10 years and she has managed to keep my RA under control, despite some of the crazy things I feel compelled to do like ocean sailing, international travel and golfing. She is a first class doctor and very caring human being. You will not find better!
in Dallas, TX |
Her office staff manager and staff are rude, condescending and overall unacceptable for a Dr. used for a long term chronic disease. I would not recommend.
Hanover, MN |
Listens very well and is calm and patient. Somewhat quiet. Feel she is very intelligent.

Dr. Barbosa says...

I have years of experience treating all common Rheumatology conditions and several rare conditions such as Paget,s Disease and Behcet's Disease.  If first line treatments are inadequate to reduce disease activity, we have more advanced therapies available, based on extensive clinical research recognized by national experts and societies.

Dr. Barbosa says...

Infusions and arthrocentesis are commonly necessary in Rheumatology, and we have conducted vast numbers of these for many patients and over a number of years.
