All in all a good experience. Dr. Leichus helped me with my GI issues. When I suggested his office needed updating he stated the building owners were about to remodel his office. Dr. Leichus himself was a pleasure and answered all of my questions. I was a bit worried after reading some of the other reviews.

Just moved here from out of town and needed a GI doc. I read the reviews and quickly discounted the vast majority. It is sad that people flock to the internet and leave negative reviews about businesses. At any rate, I called Dr. Leichus's office to make an appointment and the staff scheduled me right away. The staff was friendly as was Dr. Leichus. He answered all of my questions and ordered appropriate testing. I am more than happy with my experience with him.

Patients are treated like cattle, never get to see him just his assistant, over medicates for endoscopies and colonoscopies, then rushes you out of the door.

Did not have me come into the office to meet and discuss my history before procedure scheduled. Did not talk to me before or after the procedure, so I could discuss preexisting conditions with him.. I only met him 2 weeks late at a followup appointment, and the man never touched me, although the records from his office said he did. It is like a cattle call with people going in and coming out at the surgery center, with no one speaking to the man. Most unprofessional doctor ever.

45 minute wait and 4 minutes with him. He tried to walk out of the room while I was still trying to ask a question. He didn't want to actually figure out my problem, just prescribe a slightly different medicine than last time. I think he just wants to churn through as many people as he can for easy money.

He told me he accepted my insurance when he didn't and then tried to charge me an insane amount for my procedures with him. Also when I had my endoscopy done with him I was still awake when he started! I was gagging like crazy! I had the same procedure done by a different doctor after my poor experience with Dr. Leichus and they thought the drugs he used were ridiculous and shouldn't have been used for this procedure. I would never recommend Dr. Leichus to anyone. He will put you at risk.
in Tallahassee, FL |
Makes it undeniably clear that he does not care the slightest bit about his patients. Would not even read my charts when checking on me in the hospital while I laid there for 6 weeks with no food waiting for him to figure out what was causing an incurable infection in my intestine. Would literally blow me off when I tried to ask him questions. Takes on more patients than he can accommodate to maximize profits. Finally had another Dr. (a NON-SPECIALIST) figure out what was wrong with me.
in Tallahassee, FL |
Had a routine colonoscopy. Only saw nurse practitioner in the office (horrible bedside manner), never met the doctor, including prior to or after the procedure. They then coded the procedure wrong so I got a $400 bill (supposed to be free). They refused to correct the coding or bill
