Patient Comments (7)

Went to his Teaneck office.. The office is a mill. Told me I needed Laser for a retina hole. Barely spent 10 minutes with me. Didn't want to answer questions & was more interested in dictating a letter to my referring than talking to me. Every time you ask the staff they give you a different...more

I am sorry you felt rushed and did not have your questions answered. The retina is normally a continuous sheet. Some people develop small holes in the retina associated with a condition called lattice degeneration. Other develop tears in the retina when the vitreous gel pulls away. Holes and tears never heal. If you don't have a hole or a tear you will never develop a retinal detachment. Any patient with a hole or tear is at risk for a RD and this risk can be mitigated with laser treatment.
