On 3/26/2017 I had a hip replacement with Dr.Mead.. That was an unbelievable experience from start to finish. The compassion and quality of service and care was the best I have ever experienced. They treat their patients like family with compassion and love. My pain is completely gone and I am able to dance once again and wear my high heels!
Two years later, I am back to enjoying my active lifestyle as if there was no hip surgery at all! I have no pain or even reminders. I have a friend that did the anterior surgery, and two years later, she feels pain daily. Dr Mead and his Staff are wonderful!

Dr. Mead has performed two procedures on me, the first being removing scar tissue from a 50 year old shoulder injury that was causing me a lot of pain, and the results of his procedure could not have been better. Just recently he replaced a worn out hip joint for me and I am amazed at how quickly I am recovering. I think Dr. Mead is a terrific surgeon and would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone.

Had a lot of pain in my left knee for several years. Dr. Mead gave me a choice of knee replacement or the stem cell procedure. We did the stem cell operation the end of January 2017. Followed the rules and in May started to notice quite an improvement. It is now August and there is NO PAIN. I smile every day when going through my daily routine without pain. I certainly made the right choice in my case! Dr Mead and his office staff were very supportive and pleasant to deal with.
It has been one year since my hip has been replaced by Dr. Mead. Since the first time entering his office, his staff has been very cordial and professional. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Mead- the time he spent explaining procedure, follow up, and addressing my concerns. He has a low residual rate, and low infection rate, which was very important to me. I am now back to playing tennis 5 days a week at the age of 78! I would highly recommend Dr. Mead!

No concern for patients time. I have been to 3 appointments in Naples office and all of them made me wait for 1.5 to 2 hrs just to get into an exam room and then an additional wait of 20 more minutes to see a PA. Only saw Dr Mead for 10 min. If he only gives 10 min face time -why does it take 2 hrs just to get in an exam room. If you value your time and schedule -DO NOT BECOME A PATIENT OF DR LEON MEAD. Has no respect for his patients time. He never even found what was wrong with my knee!!!

Was a patient of Dr. Mead's a year and a half ago, although I only saw the nurse practitioner. The physical therapy work was very helpful for my knee. I called today to schedule an appointment Because of pain down my right leg. The scheduler informed me that perhaps it's my back and not my knee or hip. Dr. Mead only does knees and hips so I might want to make an appointment elsewhere. I wonder where she got her medical degree?

I am a physical therapist who has worked with Dr. Mead's patients for 20 years now. His patients do exceptionally well after hip and knee replacements, and my entire team of therapists have noticed his stem cell patients doing very well, too. After working in numerous states with many different orthopedic surgeons, I choose to have Dr. Mead replace my knee when the time comes. I've already been a patient several times. His staff is wonderful. His office is so busy with good reason!!!

Very helpful and and caring staff. Dr Mead sat down and took ample time to answer my questions explaining what was wrong and the treatment plan(s). He goes above the standard for preparation for his surgical patients as well. Felt confident in him and his staff. He continues to be my first recommendation for orthopedics and all my family and friends as well. Yes his office is busy but he will take the time with you to answer questions and make you feel at ease.

My Stem cell work on my left knee- 12 months ago-with a bone on bone pain.- it is now pain free and normal. The success was such - I had stem cell work my right knee- severe bone on bone- three months ago. It is is progressing well, based on my experience it took about six months for like new usage . Trick is to follow the rehab instructions to the tee. The Doctor fully explained pros and cons- of replacement verse stem. Anyone- expecting a quick fix- was not paying attention.

Dr Meade performed stem cell surgery for my right knee. After three months the pains were terrible and I could not walk. Dr Meade said that he was sorry. He refused any compensation and said good by. He sees too many patients and has no caring . Patrick Murphy
Have had several appointments with his office most of the time have seen PA or Nurse Practitioner, Dr Mead once only. When I did see Dr Mead no assessment was done very impersonal, talked to me from across the room 10 feet away asked me where it hurt, looked at it from where he was sitting. This last visit that I had with his office was probably the last, waited to see someone for over an hour, to be ushered into exam room to wait again and then for what a 10 minute if that visit.
