Leena Kansal is an assistant professor of neurology with clinical and research focus in Epilepsy. She began her training at Jefferson Medical College where she received the Arthur Krieger Memorial Prize in Neurology. She completed an internship in internal medicine at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Afterwards, she did a residency in neurology with the UC San Diego Department of Neurosciences. During this time, she was a recipient of the Golden Neuron Award for an outstanding resident, and she served as chief resident. Upon completing residency, she did a fellowship in neurophysiology with a focus in epilepsy at the UC San Diego Epilepsy Center.
