Dr. Yasgur says...

GLAUCOMA, of the open angle varieties, represent the most common seen in  the USA. Its treatment has long been a variety of eyedrops, with toxic and noxious side effects. About 10 years ago a new LASER wavelength was introduced, which activates natural cells in each eye, which naturally lower the intraocular pressure when healthy. Dr. Yasgur was among the first in the Delaware Valley to adopt this LASER and has developed expertise in its application in over 5000 treatments. It is surgical, and special skills and precautions are necessary.

FLOATERS have long been thought to be 'live-with-it' annoyances, only treatable with invasive surgery called vitrectomy.  Australian researchers developed a shuttering and aiming system for a YAG LASER to to shrink floaters into molecular smithereens, safely. The FDA granted full approval, and this treatment is available from Dr. Yasgur, who now has performed over 100 cases. It is surgical, and special skills and precautions are necessary.

In addition to special LASER procedures being introduced to the region, Dr. Yasgur has long been a provider of Refractive Intraocular Lenses at the time of cataract surgery .  There are many modern methods available to rid your eyes of blurry vision caused by cataracts with astigmatism and presbyopia, and Dr. Yasgur's experience dates back to 1995 with the ReZoom intraocular lens family.
