I haven't met him or talked with him but I am privy to his contributions towards Dr Efe Ani (a visionary opthalmologist) from Nigeria, a developing African Nation. Dr Tenkman in his kindness has indirectly made great inputs towards eliminating blindness in Nigeria.
Covington, KY |
Dr. Tenkman was the most caring, attentive and wonderful doctor. He followed up surgery with a phone call that evening. I felt very confident with him working on my eyes. His staff was great as were the other doctors. The surgery center was very well run and organized and super friendly.

extremely happy with results of cataract surgery, looking forward to the other eye being done

I AM so Blessed that Dr Tenkman performed my cataract surgery. It was a wonderful experience and for the first time in way over 50 years, I can see without glasses! Thank you Dr Tenkman, You're The Best!
in Louisville, KY |
I can not say enough good about Dr. Tenkman. I was legally blind, but saw 20/20 with contacts/glasses. I also have "steep" corneas which prevent me from having laser touch-ups to make my vision precise. He measured my eyes over and over and came up with a plan to correct my vision while also removing my cataracts. Each time I expressed concern about success in my case, the office staff at Bennett & Bloom, and the surgery center, responded with "well he's the best". I'm so blessed!
in Cincinnati, OH |
I had DMEK triples 12/2012 and 1/2013. I had 20/25 vision at day four post-op with each eye. Nearing my 4 year anniversary, my vision remains unchanged, 20/25. The surgery was done when he was practicing in Cincinnati. I feel so fortunate to have had him here so close. He is absolutely worth traveling for, if you need surgery for Fuch's Dystrophy, as I did. He is so kind and personable. Patiently answers questions and makes you feel so supported. In addition, he's a fantastic surgeon.
