On Oct. 10, 2019, I took my husband to Dr Lawrence Newman's office at 3:30pm for his appt to remove his catheter. Dr Newman did not remove the catheter and did not do anything. He told me to come back in a week and he will do cystoscopy of the urinary bladder. Without doing anything, I paid my co pay. The front desk scheduled another appt for my husband on Oct 22, 2019. I took back my husband to Dr Newman's office for his appt at 4pm. We waited for a long time. The manager named Marlyn Hudson came out and told me that according to Dr Newman that my husband is not his patient and just see another doctor. I said, why did you give this appt for my husband and this is the second times appt already. I told the manager that I am not going leave. I want the doctor to see my husband. I said, you call a police, I am not leaving until the doctor see my husband. The police came. I have the police report. Nurses at Spring Valley Hospital said, this Dr Lawrence Newman has poor bedside manner.

I do not normally write reviews for doctors. Reason being is that I feel it can take years of care to feel confidence and compassion from a provider. I am writing this review for Dr. Lawrence Newman because he honestly saved not only my physical but emotional well being. I have a long history of chronic ie; infections bladder/kidney with horrible retention. I have seen 10 plus doctors over the years including large elite Kidney Clinics with no results except for keep taking antibiotics. I will not even go into my concerns with my long term health due to the years of antibiotics I had to take. Present Day I finally find Dr. Lawrence Newman. I was seen within a timely manner. Dr. Newman took extensive notes about my concerns. He asked many questions I had never been asked after all the years of seeing other providers. Just 3 test later and 1 procedure I feel fantastic. This is the longest span of time I have gone without a infection or painful retention. I am so grateful for his services

I called today 11/4/19 and was refused an appointment! I was told that I need a referral from my Primary Care Doctor because I have Medicare. However, Original Medicare does not need referrals. It consists of Medicare Part A hospital insurance and Medicare Part B Medical Insurance, and beneficiaries can select any doctor that accepts Medicare payments. Using Medicare A and B, subscribers are free to consult the doctors, hospitals, and specialists of their choice. They must determine whether the doctor or provider accepts Medicare insurance. If so, they can consult with them on the terms set by Medicare. The consumer may have to make a copayment. Similarly, users do not need to get referrals to consult with specialists. The process repeats, and the patient must determine that the specialist accepts Medicare.

Run the other way. Dr Newman almost killed my husband. Diagnosed and treated him for the wrong kind of cancer a few years ago. Made him so sick that he almost died. Couldn’t get my husband out of the hospital fast enough in order to see another doctor because another urologist wouldn’t come to that hospital. Thankfully my husband is alive and well but not because of Dr Newman. It had taken me this long to get over my anger just to leave this review.

After three preliminary visits, I am impressed by office staff and very reasonable wait times. Dr. Lawrence is very professional in doctor/patient intercourse. Does not appear self-centered. I will have more to say following Turp surgery.

Dr. Newman agreed to perform the Green Light Laser surgery for my BPH Surgery - he had been "Coached" by my referral doctor, that was the only procedure I would accept. Instead he lied to me & performed the TURP procedure with resulted in me losing all my Sex Drive Libido. He knew he wouldn't get my business if he didn't agree to the Green Light procedure. How many other thing do you suppose he’s lying about, since his Standards of Ethics seems easily compromised with his ambition & Greed.

I was referred to Dr. L. Newman, and was I grateful. Dr. Newman is my hero. A urological problem can be and is extremely uncomfortable so I was extremely thankful to him when he zeroed right in on the cause and treatment of my problem. His office is very well run, his office hours are made to accommodate his patients; even the parking is great. Thank you Dr. Newman. I am happy to recommend you.

He was the worst Doctor I've ever seen. I do not recommend him at all. He caused unnecessary pain and did not explain why he was doing so. He made offensive comments about those on medical assistance and I had to ask his staff for bandages and also to ask the doctor for a pain prescription after he stuck a needle into my open wound, causing it to bleed profusely.
