When Dr. Anderson came to Tyler more than 20 years ago, he set out to deliver exceptional dermatology care for the community. Now, as the medical director of U.S. Dermatology Partners of Tyler, Dr. Anderson is proud to provide not only the highest standard of care, but also a compassionate environment where patients come first. A part of Dr. Anderson’s tremendous success acknowledges the selfless, caring, and qualified staff members around him, all building the practice into what it is today. Every provider that is a part of the team meets this pattern of excellence. Dr. Anderson offers extensive knowledge and comprehensive training to his patients and staff. Dr. Anderson is board certified in dermatology and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. Throughout his career he has performed tens of thousands of Mohs surgery cases, mastering this precise surgical technique used to treat skin cancer. In addition to his specialized training, Dr. Anderson sees patients in need of cosmetic dermatology as well as general dermatology diagnosis and treatment. Before Dr. Anderson came to practice in Tyler in 1996, he spent 16 years in the military. Dr. Anderson graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington State University in 1979 and joined the United States Army in 1980. Dr. Anderson received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University in 1984. He completed his dermatology training in 1991 and a surgical fellowship in 1994 at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. During his service, he held numerous positions, including Chief of Ambulatory Care, Fort McPhearson, Georgia, and Chief of Medicine and Dermatology at Fort Hood, Texas. In addition to his dermatology background, he has significant primary care and emergency room experience. He has spent a lifetime dedicated to practicing at the forefront of the industry. He is the author of 28 articles on various medical subjects and was a Governor-appointed member of the Texas State Medical Board. Dr. Anderson has been on the Super Doctors list since 2005, taking place among outstanding physicians from more than 40 medical specialties who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. But most importantly to you as a patient, he is your doctor. The knowledge and experience he has gained previously, will be applied in the most personal environment.
