Dr. Schwartz has worked in major trauma centers across the country, including Harlem and the South Bronx, and has expertise in all aspects of brain and spine surgery in adults and children. Dr. Schwartz treats patients from all over the United States as well as internationally. She volunteers with international charities to help bring children who need sophisticated neurosurgery to the United States for surgery. Dr. Schwartz teaches residents and medical students and has lectured nationally on many topics in Neurosurgery. She was appointed by the President of the AANS and served on the Ethics Committee for the national neurosurgical association for a 3 year term. She has served as President of the national organization of "Women in Neurosurgery" and continues to work hard to attract the best and the brightest to the field of Neurosurgery through mentorship and leading by example. Dr. Schwartz set out to bring top neurosurgical skills, expertise, and technology to the people of New Jersey so that they can get the best neurosurgical care without having to leave the state.
