After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Sznyter completed her internship and residency in general surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She was selected to remain as the Assistant to the Surgeon in Chief and completed additional training in Endocrine Surgery.
Dr. Sznyter provides expert care to her patients with benign and malignant tumors of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, breast and skin with compassion and understanding.
As an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, Dr. Sznyter is involve in the training of future physicians. She has published in peer reviewed journals on treatment of parathyroid and thyroid diseases. She has presented at national meetings on minimally invasive parathyroidectomy, thyroid cancer, minimizing complications after thyroid surgery and breast cancer.
