Don’t recommend! Won’t spend even enough time with you to get speak, no real exam for a diagnosis, non empathetic , and frankly rude. My first consultation was a joke. Not going back and seeking more professional neurologist.

Went to Dr, Mason ONCE. She was expecting, and I certainly feel that was what was on her mind. She did not take any notes at all (I am a chronic Migraine sufferer). She kicked off her shoes during the consultation and played with her feet. Not compassionate, not interested, defensive. Certainly a zero in my estimation.

A very short time was spent for a first visit. The doctor was quick to prescribe medicine without seeing how it would interact with my other medications (I had a bad experience with it). She was obviously knowledgeable but cool and distant, unlike my previous neurologists in other locations before I moved to Asheville.

After waiting over a month for a new patient appointment, the office called to cancel 2 business days before. They wanted to reschedule another month away.... No thank you.

Not being one that goes to the Dr. but once a year, I had a medical issue come up and she was the only Neuro physician I could get into within a week. As some of the other reviews stated she was very disengaged. It was like I was the Dr. and she was patient. I kept asking questions and couldn't get much out of her other than she seemed like she was in a hurry. When I left with no diagnosis or feedback other than "get counseling" I soon figured out why she was so easy to get into. Never even said, please come back if you continue to have issues. My spouse is a healthcare executive and was surprised by her lack of compassion.

She was awful. From the moment she stepped into the room she acted as if we were wasting her time. in the very short 10-minute "exam," she proceeded to tell me that my diagnosis of MS was incorrect, without even viewing my previous records from my neurologist in New York who diagnosed me with MS based on the required criteria. She did not validate any of my symptoms, and though she stated that she was not there to assist me in getting a proper diagnosis, she proceeded to tell me that I probably had a rare but debilitating chronic pain syndrome, of which there is really no treatment for. She got up to leave and realized that she had not even examined me yet, so quickly had me follow her finger left to right, touch my nose then her finger, rub both arms and legs to ask if it felt the same, AND THAT WAS ALL. This was after she told me that I do not have MS and removed it from all of my records! I am disgusted by her terrible bedside manner and complete lack of compassion. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Mason was very attentive. She listened to my history , asked questions and answered my questions. She was unhurried and her calm demeanor made me very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Mason.

I have no words to describe how lucky I feel to have Dr. Mason as my neuro. I was diagnosed with MS app.12 years ago and for many years made no advances in my treatment. Eventually I left my Mission Health neuro and searched for something better. Dr. Mason was a God sent. She is truly caring and kind in every way. She takes the time to listen and really does care what you have to say. Her assistant Orlando is beyond exceptional . She is far and away superior in every aspect of her job.

Very disappointed in the treatment we received. We made an appointment to discuss my headaches and loss of balance issues with Dr. Mason. She was very rushed and barely took the time to find out why we were there. The entire visit lasted less than 5 minutes. She seemed annoyed when I told her I had a headache and if she could talk slower. She was dismissive and interrupted us as we tried to ask additional questions. We left very disappointed and felt we had wasted our time.

Has a kind, caring and knowledgeable demeanor, actually LISTENS! Very professional and intelligent! Best and most consistent interest and time spent with ME concerning my care...her attention is on me, the patient EVERY TIME!!!! Staff is SUBURB!!! The Staff is as good as the Physician!!!
