Outstanding! Been hurting with L4/L5 for over 8 years! Finally decided to have surgery. He did a great job and I am able to do things I haven’t done in many years! I very must recommend getting a second opinion from him before you let another surgeon cut on you! I won’t go anywhere else f I need surgery down the road!

Dr. Lars Gardner did surgery to correct Chiari Malformation on me in May 2019. He was simply fantastic. He is a very caring and patient doctor who took the time to explain everything in detail and answer all my questions...multiple times!! I am pain and symptom free. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Lars Gardner performed a spinal fusion of my lumbar 2-5 vertebrae about 6 weeks ago. I interviewed 2 other neurosurgeons, and both were acceptable, but Dr. Gardner inspired me with his careful explanations of the procedure and his expertise with a robotic arm. This allowed for more precise placement of the screws and hardware he used and resulted in less tissue damage than traditional methods. I am recovering quickly and have had wonderful follow up care from Dr. Gardner and his PA's. I recommend him not only for his medical skills and knowledge, but also his personality.

After 3 other experienced surgeons (including one that did my past ACDF) told me to go on long term pain management for my symptoms, I was crushed. Dr. Lars Gardner came up with a plan that was not only insightful, but successful in resolving my injury and pain. I found out that he had to adapt his surgical plan somewhat after opening me up; but he made decisions that were in my best interests as the patient, not his time or pocket. He was very thorough in his explanations, courteous, did not rush me, nor was he condescending. I found him caring and helpful. His staff (especially Stephanie!!) have been so accommodating post op as well. I’ve had tons of questions and minor freak outs where I’ve called their office, and they call me back the same day, patiently explain everything I’m concerned about and help calm me down. They’ve also been very upfront about risks, recovery, and long term success. As a repeat spine surgeon patient, I would highly recommend Dr. Lars Gardner.
