Lower Lumbar Discectomy
I had low back pain which I tolerated for years , the pain became unbearable ,sciatica I couldn’t walk. I went to Dr Laith Khoury for surgery, absolutely best decision, no sciatica pain after surgery, recovery went well Dr Khoury & all staff were amazing & helpful,I would highly recommend them

Dr Khoury is Fantastic
Dr Khoury did my spine surgery Nov. 11, 2022. I had my 2nd follow appt 1/4/23. Everything was great! I didn’t need a cane or walker anymore to walk. All my leg and hip pain was gone! I felt like a new person! I am certainly able to enjoy life again! He is the best!!! Thank you so much Dr Khoury!!!

Excellent!
My son had a mass on his pituitary gland that was affecting his vision, Dr. Khoury and his excellent team performed surgery, and his vision and stability are greatly improved and getting better every day! I would like to thank him and his team for being compassionate and patient with my son and the rest of us in our protective madness And complete ignorance of the procedures Nevertheless doing an excellent job and being very responsive to our concerns. Great outcome
At my request, I was referred by my primary care provider to Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. My initial visit was with Dana Johnson, PA. He was very understanding and informative. He set me up for a high resolution MRI at WakeMed. Following that, I met with Dr. Laith Khoury to discuss my case and treatment plan. We agreed the best option for me was microvascular decompression surgery, which involves opening a small hole in the skull behind the ear and microscopically correcting the problem causing the extreme facial pain. Dr. Khoury performed my surgery at WakeMed and everything went great. My recovery was amazingly quick and the surgery totally fixed my problem. I am now totally free of that horrible nerve pain. I encourage anyone suffering from trigeminal neuralgia who lives anywhere near Raleigh to see Dr. Khoury at Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic. He and everyone I saw at this practice are the best. No need to travel elsewhere for world class care.

On the day of my visit when I arrived, I was told that I would see Dr Khoury Personally in addition to his PA. However, I saw is PA but never saw Dr Khoury.

Great surgeon
I appreciate Dr. Khoury for all he did to relieve me from the back pain I suffered for so many years. On the day of my surgery he and Dr. Garner worked as a team to decompress and fuse lumbar in my lower spine. He is a friendly and compassionate doctor and I knew I was in good hands from the day we met in his office. I was never in pain after surgery and I am doing great. Thanks Dr. Khoury. Brain Tumor Removed by Dr. Khoury
After having a mild seizure, I went to the Emergency Room at Wester Wake hospital in Cary, where an MRI revealed a small lesion in my brain. I was transported overnight to Wake Med Raleigh, where I was greeted the next morning by two neurosurgeons from Wake Neurosurgical Associates, who informed me that the tumor needed to come out and they would do the surgery the next day at 1:00pm. My family did due diligence on the surgeons and discovered that Dr. Khoury had completed a fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. After the surgery, Dr. Khoury informed my family that they had removed the tumor completely. Dr. Khoury, his associate, Dr. Garner, and the two Physician Assistants with whom I interacted, Dana Johnson and Paul Tarengelo, were very professional and caring. I had no pain at the surgery site, nor any lingering concerns from the surgery, such as headaches, and no further symptoms, such as dizziness or seizures. My family and I highly recommend Dr. Khoury.

Trigeminal Neuralgia Surgery
In 2020 and 2021,Dr. Fukushima and Dr. Kaith Khoury performed two skull-based surgeries, microvascular decompression on both sides of my face to treat my trigeminal neuralgia. Dr. Fukushima at Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic came highly recommended by neurologists in the Raleigh NC area. Even though I had a previous unsuccessful surgery in Charlotte, NC, Dr Fukushima was confident that he could correct the issue. Both Dr. Fukushima and Dr. Khoury, and their team were absolutely great! They ensured I understood and was comfortable at each step of the entire process. The first surgery was successful and the pain on my right side was no longer. A month later after I weened off my meds, I realized I had the same pain on the left side of my face. Nine months later Dr. Fukushima and Dr. Khoury performed another surgery on the left side, which was also successful. I am now pain free for the first time in over 20 years! Both of these surgeons are extremely gifted and a Godsend.

I have extensive medical history regarding my spine and have seen countless doctors to help me with my pain. I recently saw Dr. Khoury about inserting a permanent spinal cord stimulator in my spine. During our initial visit, I was impressed by the way he was listening intently to what I had to say and felt. He quickly scheduled my surgery because he felt the urgency in me to get it done to alleviate my pain. He goes over and above to make you feel cared for, because he does care. I have 2 incisions and both were done beautifully with minimal scarring. I'm so impressed with his care that I am having him take over all my future spinal care. I also want to mention that his PA Paul is wonderful and is very proactive during care. Last but certainly not least, his Admin. Assistant, Josie is one of the best advocates out there. I just love her! I love this team and highly recommend them to anyone for the highest quality and compassionate care!

I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Khoury without hesitation. My wife and I found him to be a caring, trustworthy, and highly skilled neurosurgeon. He patiently answered our questions. My post surgery outcome (a laminectomy L4-5) was far better then expected. I had bilateral foot drop and was not able to walk. Dr. Khoury explained what my MRI showed (a very large herniated disc) and the next day (6/15/21) he operated to relieve crushed nerves. Urgent action was called for to give me a chance at regaining mobility. After surgery I gradually began to take steps and then two weeks later began walking. For me it felt like a true gift ... a miraculous result. Sign me a very grateful patient. (His PA Paul T. is also terrific.)
