Dr. Staples' bio

This content was provided by Dr. Staples "Dr. Kurtis Staples received his MD degree from The Medical College of Wisconsin in his home state of Wisconsin where he graduated in the top 3% of his class. He went on to specialize his medical training in Orthopaedics at the University of Michigan. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Staples chose to further his training by completing an Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. It was in Nashville where world renowned experts in pelvis and acetabular fracture care and reconstruction, including Dr. Philip J. Kregor, Dr. M.L. Chip Routt, and Dr. Jeffery Mast, served as mentors. Dr. Staples has a particular interest in surgery of the pelvis, acetabulum and hip. He extensively trained in anterior hip replacement during his trauma fellowship, a revolutionary procedure that dramatically reduces downtime for his patients when compared to the traditional methods. He specializes in both upper and lower extremity trauma and fracture management with specific interest in articular injuries. With fellowship training in anterior hip replacement and having performed hundreds of surgeries for anterior hip replacement, Dr. Staples is a pioneer of this procedure in the Phoenix metropolitan area. He also treats disorders of the hip such as impingement, dysplasia and labral injuries. Dr. Staples is married, and he and his wife have five beautiful daughters. They live in Peoria enjoying the beautiful Arizona desert and sun."
