This is one of the most compassionate men, let alone doctors, with whom I've ever come in contact. My mother had had unsuccessful back surgery for spinal stenosis 3 months before I took her to Vanderbilt to Dr. Eichholz. He explained the surgery he could do to help her, and she lived her last 7 years painfree. I, too, had neck issues and went to him. Rather than operate, he sent me to PT for 6 weeks and I got back to manageable pain. He is quite a remarkable man and doctor. I appreciate him so.

Dr Eichholtz preformed a fusion on me in 2015. I have been having issues the last year and been receiving steroid shots with no avail. That doctor thought she had seen a loose screw in my fusion. I returned to Dr. Eichholtz 2 wks ago and he suggested a mylogram/ct scan. He called with the results, saying fusion looked great and I needed a decompression surgery. He said this will relieve the pain going down your right leg. My pain has always been in my left leg. After his nonchalant attitude

I would not recommend Dr Eichholz. He did minimally invasive decompression surgery on me. Three days post-surgery I developed a spinal headache. I thought I was dying. My husband is a dr & knew right away that I had to lie down. As long as I was lying down I did not have the headache. It turns out Dr E left a hole in my spinal membrane, because he didn't think it was leaking spinal fluid. I had to have 2nd surgery to repair hole he should have closed originally. BEWARE!!!

2 years ago I had back surgery. It was getting close to the end of the year, I've met my deductible and didn't want to have to pay a deductible again. Dr. Eicholtz performed my surgery on Christmas Eve. He went out of his way to help me in all aspects. I don't feel any other Dr would have done that. I have not had any problems with my back, like I said earlier, it's been 2 months.

In Feb 2016 I was stopped in my tracks with sciatic pain in my right buttock and calf. After steroidal injections and about three months of PT I found no relief. Dr. Eichholz was my second surgical consult and I knew right away I wanted him to be my surgeon. I educated myself on the tubular re-tractor method beforehand and Dr. Eichholz confirmed he could perform this surgery on my herniated L4/L5. Walked out of hospital on same day of surgery and I am 3 months post op with no more sciatic pain.

My experience at Dr. Eichholz office was very disappointing. I went for one visit and he sent me to get painful (and expensive) testing in addition the MRI and x rays I had already brought him. When the results came in he had his nurse (who was very rude) call me and tell me he couldn't help me and I should go to a pain management center (even though I had explained and brought documentation in showing I had exhausted all non-surgical options - pain management center included).

His true concern & candor was a perfect balance for me. His staff was kind & efficient. Every healthcare professional I spoke to and mentioned Dr. Eichholz they would always respond with best & smartest doctor you can choose. My old symptoms are gone with just a few recovery symptoms that are to be expected at 5 weeks of recovery. Once physical therapy starts next week I'm sure I will be on a good pace to completely normal. I can't say Thank You enough to this practice.

He listens to you when you try and explain the issues that you are having. He read around a hundred plus pages from other doctors on my issues. Mine happens to be the fourth and fifth disc that causes shooting pain down my whole left leg. I highly recommend if you are having any issues due to your back or even your legs as far as just walking. Do not hesitate to visit Dr Eichholz!

I am half-way through my recovery period from TLIF procedure by Dr. Eichholz; it was my biggest nightmare that I have delayed for several years, he has been outstanding, professional and has been compassionate. He has saved my life, I have been blessed! Thank you Dr.
