He completed his internship and residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals prior to going to Brigham & Women s Hospital in Boston as a research fellow. He then served as a senior and chief resident in general surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Subsequently, Dr. Kunda Biswas completed his thoracic and cardiovascular Surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He then returned to Brigham & Women s Hospital to serve as a senior clinical fellow in cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Biswas has published numerous manuscripts and abstracts in professional publications, and presented at national conferences. He has a particular interest in endothelial cell preservation and nitric oxide generation in human saphenous vein and the application of two-photon fluorescence microscopy in cardiac and vascular surgery.Read more
