My hand therapist referred me..
I was excited to see Dr. Downing. I had fractured my left wrist, had surgery and was experiencing severe complications. He told me I needed immediate surgery and directed his surgery scheduler to put me on the schedule. That is when everything fell apart. His office lied to me, misdirected me, wouldn't communicate with me. They told me a variety of nonsensical stories and changed my tentative surgery date, even invalidating my pre-op tests. While I would have loved to have Dr. Downing do my surgery, I could not trust that group of inefficient people to manage any of my aftercare, not to mention if an emergency happened. They even declined to let me speak to him when I realized I was dealing with a disaster. My previous surgeon couldn't care less about my complications, but his staff ROCKED. This surgeon is supposedly the best, but his staff is awful. Very sad.. I would love to find the right combination to fix my wrist.. In the meantime, I guess I will have a useless wrist. :-(

Dr. Downing is a highly skilled surgeon. He was able to successfully correct the work of another hand surgeon, that had actually worsened my trigger finger. Aside from his great Surgical skills, Dr. Downing was caring, attentive, and genuinely concerned about my healing process. I highly recommend Dr. Downing for any upper extremity issues you may have...

After suffering of a broken arm for 4 months from a fall in August 2019 that occurred at my work -  which forced me to utilize doctors within the Worker Compensation network,  I ended up being misdiagnosed by an incompetent doctor on my condition and what my treatment plan should be.  I eventually was referred to Dr. Kristopher Downing. He immediately knew that my initial treatment of my broken arm was not proper and I was in desperate need of surgery. It took another 6 months of suffering working through the bureaucracy of Workers Compensation to get approval to switch to Dr. Downing.  Finally, I had my surgery a month ago. The surgery was intense and it took 5.5 hours where 15 screws were inserted, a bone graph performed and implantation of a long metal rod. I am forever grateful for my Hero Dr. Downing’s expertise,  his caring demeaner and indeed his God given surgical skills that has helped me recover without much pain. I must give a shout out to the others who assisted him.

Dr. Downing has worked with me over several years to correct an arthritic and injured shoulder. His knowledge and expertise is unparalleled. He shows much patience and has a great bed side manner. He worked with my insurance carrier and made the process seem less and effortless. His staff is great.

I've had two hand surgeries done by Dr. Downing. both surgeries were pretty and almost enjoyable. He cleaned up a mess left by another surgeon 20 some years ago and the hand is doing so much better. I really appreciate that Dr. Downing takes the time to make a connection and goes into, just enough, detail so that I can understand what's going to happen. I won't hesitate to have Dr. Downing take care of any further upper extremity issues I might have.

I met Doctor Downing in August of 2018 after my I broke a bone in my left hand after a major cycling accident. He got me into his office right away and assessed that I didn’t need surgery. He fitted me into a fracture brace to assist on the healing. I was grateful he explained in detail My injury and answered all of my questions. He wasn’t in a rush and took time to make sure I understood everything.
