At 62 yrs old, my daughter wanted me to do a Disney Half Marathon with her. This was my inspiration to get my knee replacement done by Dr. Kirby Hitt. He was so highly recommended and made me feel that anything was possible after knee replacement when other doctors told me about all of the things I would not be able to do again. Dr. Hitt did my knee replacement on Sept. 11, 2017 and I could not have been happier with this journey. I did a Half Marathon and two 5K runs in April 2018.

I drove 6 hours to see Dr. Hitt because I heard he was one of the best in the state. I waited 2 hrs past my scheduled time before finally getting to see him, only for him to tell me he could not help me. I have been in pain for over 4 years since having a TKR and have seen so many doctors and have had lots of misdiagnoses and need help. Dr. Hitt treated me like I was a hysterical hypochondriac. He offered no help at all.

I strongly discourage anyone from having surgery at this office by this team. They appear to be consumed with performing as many surgeries as possible with absolutely no follow up with their patients. Dr. Hitt and his team will consult with you and promise that they will take excellent care of you but in actuality they will never check on your progress after the initial surgery. They collect and move on to the next person with no regard for the final outcome of the patient/ procedure.

In 1998 I had a double knee replacement completed by Dr. Hitt. I had a complete recovery and would recommend Dr. Hitt if you should be in need of knee surgery. I have now developed Osteoarthritis in my back, and will be checking into getting a 2nd opinion on treatment etc with Dr. Hitt.

Dr. Hitt performed my husband's hip/knee replacements as well as revisions for both due to infection spread throughout the body due to endocarditis. His care, concern and capability to deal with complex revisions make him worthy of 20 stars in my book!!
