On August 15, 2006, I was referred to Dr. Burchiel for treatment of extreme Trigeminal Neuralgia; my first appointment with him was August 31. I was scheduled for Macrovascular decompression of the trigeminal nerve on September 15, and my procedure was broadcast via CCTV to a neurosurgery conference in Portland. Dr. Burchiel was my savior, a kind and talented physician who alleviated the destructive pain in my face and gave me back my life. Ten years later, I am still pain-free. Thank you!

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
