Dr. Malik has all the checkmarks you want in a doctor. Trustworthy- check! Caring bedside manner-check! and most importantly he's a surgeon that allowed me to see again- triple check! Answered all my questions before surgery and then called me after my surgery and asked how I was doing. His staff were great, no issues from beginning to end.

Dr. Malik is a treasure. I had scary symptoms from a vitreous detachment on Friday night. I did not know what had happened or who to go to. An optical shop gave me his name. I left a message Saturday morning and he called me back immediately. I saw him 45 minutes later in his office - that wasn't even open- when he had no prior experience with me. He did a thorough exam and scheduled a follow-up. He explained everything in detail. I can't thank him enough. Most doctors do not provide this level of care even for long-time patients.

Highly recommend this practice. Intelligent doctor, nice staff, clean office, plenty of parking. I'm glad they got me in right away to treat my eyes. All my questions were answered but I forgot to ask a question while I was at my appointment. I called the office back after hours and I was surprised that the answering service connected me and I was able to speak to Dr. Malik directly. He really cares about his patients!

Very knowledgeable. Great bedside manner. He is what you are looking for in an eye surgeon if your family ever needs it. His staff are very kind and make sure you have everything set before the surgery is scheduled. We went to his office in Reston. The atmosphere was clean and spacious. It was wheelchair accessible which was a big plus. My father in law was nervous at first but felt at ease once he met Dr. Malik because he was truly caring. He uses the best standards of care.

Dr. Malik is an AMAZING doctor - patient, up front and honest and extremely caring. My boyfriend has been under his care for almost 2 years and he is so personable and extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I joke that I wish he was a general practice doctor because he really is "that good".

Dr. Malik is an amazing ophthalmologist! My family and I have an extensive history of eye problems and all of us see Dr. Malik. Hes much better than other doctors we've had to work with in the past. Hes a great doc and an even better person. He's always willing to hear our concerns and addresses them accordingly. The staff are nice as well.

I had a retinal tear and was referred to Dr Malik. He saw me within 24hrs and after a Friday diagnosis in which he answered all of my questions/concerns, I required emergency surgery the next day (Saturday). Dr Malik performed the surgery and I am so grateful. The surgery was successful and I have 100% vision in the repaired eye! Dr Malik’s knowledge and skill saved my eyesight! Thank you! During my follow up visits he provided me with answers to all of my questions and concerns.

I was kept waiting for over 45 minutes. This was an improvement over my first appointment when I waited for over an hour. Waiting 45 minutes is unacceptable; however, Dr. Malick made it worse when he rushed through the appointment and was on his way out the door as I still had questions. He needs to learn respect for his patient's time.

dr. malik did not care whatsoever about my questions or my concerns. i waited an hour for barely 10 mins with him. he spent the last couple standing with hand hand on the doorknob. he did not ask if his scribe could be present. i did not want another person in the room and it is my right to refuse. he did not attempt to mitigate my fears or demonstrate empathy. he was very impolite and made a lot of money in this appointment. he is a terrible doctor. he does not return calls.
