Dr. Abbed is a Great Physician and then some. He has an incredible way of connecting with his patients. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Abbed and his team @ the new Spinal Wellness Center in Westport. Hartford Health System made the right choice getting Dr. Abbed on board. Dr. Abbed & his team will do great things in the coming years, cutting edge solutions to treat patients will be developed and implemented by Dr. Abbed and his team. Thank you Dr. Abbed, Lynn C, Jesus, Marcie & Jessica

Dr.Abbed performed a spinal fusion L5-S1 on me in April 2019. It was Thursday morning. On Friday evening around 6pm he came to see me. He made sure I was comfortable and assured me everything went well. It was a long recovery, but I was back to work in August. Some days were harder than others but now 2 yrs later I couldn't be happier. I'm doing everything I was doing in my 20s and 30s. He is a compassionate and reassuring surgeon. Couldn't be happier.

The most “down-to-Earth” doctor I’ve ever had, and I’ve seen many, especially neurosurgeons. I’ve recommended him to family and friends, and they agree with my opinion.

Dr Abbed performed extensive spinal surgery on me July 30, 2020. I am walking better, stronger and longer without pain for the first time in over 10 years! Dr Abbed has an excellent manner with you as a patient, fully understands what you are going through. He is very realistic and upfront about risks versus benefits of surgery. He makes sure you have exhausted all options before undergoing surgery such as steroid injections and physical therapy. The effort he puts in to understand your issue and your goals allows him to direct and recommend the best course of action. If it comes to surgery he has a top notch facility in Westport dedicated to the Neurosciences particularly spinal issues. I highly recommend him to anyone suffering from back pain. I couldn’t be more impressed and grateful for what Dr Abbed has done for me.

Dr. Abbed is the BEST neurosurgeon and nice's person I have ever met. Had my 3rd cervical spine operation in 28 months. My first two were done by another surgeon at a large practice. I was treated as a medical case, not as someone who had been with this practice for over 40 years. M last cervical spine operation was done by Dr. Abbed and his team. EVERYONE, I mean everyone treated me as I was the only one having surgery. Every phase of my surgery was done beyond my expectation. I would follow him where ever he went.

Dr. Abbed is by far the best neurosurgeon around. He is the only doctor who was able to diagnose me correctly and subsequently operated on me. I am only 2 weeks out since surgery but already feel better. He is not only a brilliant doctor but also a kind and caring human being. I have full faith that he will become world renown very soon.

I would highly recommend Dr. Abbed to anyone who needs spine surgery. I am four weeks out from a complicated cervical spine surgery, and am without an ache or any other symptom, and still on my BLT precautions. I felt immediate relief when I woke up in the recovery room. He is compassionate, conservative, and takes his time to explain things to his patients and their families to help them feel at ease. I had a great experience at Yale New Haven Hospital as well, and his fellows were terrific. He truly is a gem.
