Dr. Khan's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Khan "I have been in Chicago area for last 30 years. I was trained in Chicago area medical programs and have practiced now for over 20 years. "

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Khan "I believe in starting with a comprehensive psychosocial understanding of each family along with presenting concerns for their child. Once a provisional understanding and diagnosis is laid out for parents, it should make sense to them. If initial plan is not helping the child, then Clinician should be able to take a step back and regroup. The work of treating child/ adolescent and families in their most vulnerable times is a privilege that I don't take lightly.

I always remind my parents in the office that use of Medications in children is not only science but is an "art"."

Dr. Khan is sharp, no-nonsense practicioner. I highly recommend her. My son feels as if thought she is "on his side" in a world where many adults and people in roles of responsibility are NOT on the side of ADHD kids.

At the end of our sessions, she said she couldn't do anything more for our son, she had gone through the medications she new; she agreed with...more
