Dr. Watson's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Watson "I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. I went to high school at Holy Cross and finished in 1994. After high school, I obtained my Bachelors of Science degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville in 1998. After completing college, I returned home and attended the Tulane University School of Medicine. I graduated Tulane and was selected to the AOA, the medical school honor society. I finished medical school in 2002. After medical school, I completed 5 years of orthopedic residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I was selected as administrative chief resident for orthopedics. At UAB, I also worked under experts in the field including Dr. John Cuckler for joint replacements and Dr. James Andrews for sports medicine. In 2007, after completing residency, I returned home and began private practice at Orthopaedic Associates of New Orleans. I currently live in Uptown New Orleans with my wife and two children."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Watson "I treat each patient as an individual.  I take as much time as necessary to listen to the patient's problem, formulate and diagnosis, and discuss treatment options with patients.

Generally, I like to proceed with conservative measures for most problems.  When surgery is an option or recommended, I utilize the latest techniques and perform minimally invasive surgeries to correct most orthopedic conditions."
