Horrible - go elsewhere
He said I didn’t have an ortho issue but a rheumatoid arthritis issue. Sent me to rheumatologist she almost killed me. I needed a total knee replacement . Had that done but now have other issues because of not being treated originally by him. Maybe because of tone, maybe because of ins. Or maybe just refuse to do what was in his oath he took. To not do harm. He harmed me by not treating me which was within his scope.

Terrible Outcome - Beware
I saw Dr Myers for what should have been a standard knee replacement. It all went terribly wrong, including the Dr breaking my femur trying to break scar tissue. After repairing the femur break, he abandoned me. He said another Dr would be expecting me at Baylor University Medical Center. He never spoke with Dr. I had 9 total surgeries including the knee replacement. He never called, never contacted me to see if I was OK. He ruined my leg, left me disfigured with a mangled leg. No thanks on Dr Myers. Walking is difficult. Every day I am left with the scars of this surgery. It changed my life, but not for the better.

Fractured my fibula. He gave no instructions on how I was supposed to walk, didn't offer crutches or knee scooter. Told me I could go back to work in three days, I'm thinking this is going to heal fast as I am on my feet. Three days later still can't put any weight on foot. He would not prescribe pain meds, pain levels are around 5-8 depending on swelling. He did put me in a boot, today is day 10 and I still can't plant my foot in the boot due to swelling, the boot narrows right at the area of the fracture and squeezes it, I can only tolerate the boot for an hour at a time. Not impressed with his quality of patient care compared to other ortho's in this group.

Dr. Myers agreed to see me for a knee fracture that several other doctors refused to treat due to my previous fracture & surgery a few months ago. He was confident & kind while explaining my injury and my options. Dr. Myers seems to be one of those doctors that puts patient care above all else. He is self-assured in treating the patients others won't treat. He stepped up & now we have a plan and I am not so fearful.
