Dr. McCarthy fixed my back. Staff was extremely professional. His Nurse practitioner, Chelsea, was especially helpful and caring. I would strongly recommend this practice.

Simply the BEST ! Dr. McCarthy brought me from a bad place not once, but twice! First, I had a bulging disc which he successfully corrected. And, then I squashed a vertebrae in the lumbar( L5) which all but incapacitated me on my right side because the nerve was being compressed. Again, Dr. McCarthy came to the rescue and made me whole again. I strongly encourage anyone with possible spine problems to consider Dr. McCarthy. Thanks, Dr. McCarthy for making me whole again!
I've been a patient of his for years to get checkups on my spine, I had spinal surgery when I was 12 years old in CA, but he forgot he ever met with me and treated me and billed me as a new patient. He also suggested I get an MRI when my surgeon told me never to get an MRI so I don't trust that at all.

Staff is rude and never follow up.

Worst doctor I have ever seen, he came in the room never looked at me just set down staring at his papers.i tried to talk to him and again would never look at me. Waited 1hour and 17 minutes to see him and he gave a total of 3 minutes. He did nothing the nurse ask me where my pain is, this doctor never ask me , never even looked at my back. Will not waste my time again.

My daughter had 2 fingers cut off...Of course we wanted the best Doctor to save her fingers. The B&J Clinic sent Dr. McCarthy. I could not ask for a better surgeon, his surgical skills are impeccable...he is true and compassionate to crazy families, speaking for all to understand. Over the next We were amazed of his med. knowledge. Today, 5yrs later, you can't tell. Now in high school, she is on the swim team, over achiever and plans to be an Orthopedic due to Dr. McCarthy.

Dr. McCarthy is a no frills perfectionist. I have had a terrible numbness and throbbing in my left hip and leg due to lumbar compression; both soft tissue and bone. He did a fusion and removed bone causing additional compression It relieved all my sciatica . He is a super busy surgeon but thats because he is outstanding. I really was blown away by the stellar quality of his staff at the spice center; and even more thrilled and super elated at the spine hospital! You would be selling yourself sho
