My left arm was paralyzed and right arm getting weaker every day. I did not have a diagnosis and desperately needed to see a neuro-muscular neurologist. Dr Hargrave confirmed a diagnosis of Parsonage-Turner Syndrome and ordered immunotherapy. He had to petition my insurance to cover the treatment which was considered experimental. I miraculously recovered full mobility of both arms and feel immensely grateful to Dr Hargrave, his associates and office staff.

Staff was amazing; waited over 30 minutes in the room to see him; did not feel he was concerned with my health and trying to help me deal with my condition. I would not recommend him to my family and friends due to his lack of concern and empathy. As a doctor he should want to diagnose and offer help; however, he was quick to say he was not going to diagnose. As a educator, I work to help every child especially the ones struggling. I hoped to receive the same from my doctors.

After waiting 2 months to see Dr Hargrave concerning a neurological disorder and damaged nerves in my back I was extremely disappointed. There were no tests run or physical exam. All he had to say was "why can't your primary care physician take care of this" and "what do you want me to do about it". My primary care doctor sent me to him and I wanted him to at least try to help me. That is his job, right?!!! I would never recommend Dr Hargrave to anyone with neurological disorders!

Dr Hargrave is the first neurologist to spend time with us, put the pieces together and give us answers when other physicians ignored the symptoms my husband was experiencing. We will be forever grateful to him. We now have a direction in which to go and can appreciate every day that my husband has with t h e ALS diagnosis.
