Conditions Treated

Dr. Park says..

I specialize in treating orthopedic foot, ankle, knee, and lower leg problems. The foot and ankle areas are very complex. I'm one of very few doctors in the Los Angeles area who are known for such a high level of expertise in this specialty. The fellowship I completed at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York taught me to see orthopedic problems from several different viewpoints. My patients benefit from this approach because I bring that fresh perspective to every orthopedic issue.

Some of the common conditions I treat are ankle pain and instability, cartilage injury, bunions, stiff/painful big toe, ankle and foot deformity, all conditions relating to arthritis, Achilles and other tendon inflammation and tears, stress fractures, knee meniscal tears, and bursitis.

Procedures Performed

Dr. Park says..

While I perform a wide range of foot, ankle, knee, and lower leg procedures, I'm often sought after for fixing previous surgeries that other doctors did not perform correctly, and complex procedures that other doctors don't do. This includes intricate bone reconstruction and cartilage repair, collagen grafts for frayed tendons, and other techniques that are aimed at getting athletes and non-athletes back to 100% function so they can return to their sport or activities at a high level again. For years now, I've also seen many of my patients heal faster after undergoing platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection therapy. PRP contains a concentrated amount of the patient's own healing factors, obtained from their own blood by spinning and separating it in a centrifuge.

Dr. Park says...

I've been helping patients get better from orthopedic problems for many years. Each time a patient comes into my office, they get my undivided attention for their specific orthopedic problem and overall health. I care that everyone who comes to see me gets better, and I'll investigate their problem until I find the best solution for them.

I became an orthopedic doctor after being involved in athletics and seeing how important it is to get athletes—and anyone—back to doing what they love to do. Whether someone has been injured or has been gradually taken away from their favorite activities due to orthopedic problems, it's important for their physical and mental well-being that they get as healthy as possible again, no matter what their age or ability level. I work as a team with each of my patients, making sure they get back to health with a treatment program they're completely comfortable with and that works with all aspects of their life.

During my training to become an orthopedic doctor, I completed a fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. There I was trained by 10 different doctors and learned to see foot, ankle, and lower extremity problems from 10 different viewpoints. This approach helps me find the most fitting treatment plan for each of my patients.

Dr. Park's Care Philosophy

I love that I've helped thousands of patients with their orthopedic injuries and chronic pain. But I love even more that I helped them one at a time. I was trained to look at every patient's orthopedic problem as something unique to them, and I've built my career on how best to help each person get better as safely and quickly as possible with long-lasting results. Everyone who comes to see me gets the correct diagnosis and a treatment program tailored just for them—I move forward only when they're confident that they're getting the best care possible.
