Referred to Lawlor specifically, made 3 appts w/him & ended up being with someone else. Sent to him for a solution to my 6 years of symptoms and I was sorely disappointed. Staff lied to me multiple times about who I was seeing and what for. When seeing him he basically gave me a I don't know showed no personal interest, care, or consideration. He failed to research abnormal test results further and misdiagnosed Lyme disease & Hashimotos & said it was Fibromyalgia.

I am pleased with Dr. Lawlor but he needs to review patients' files before seeing them. For example, his office called me saying that Dr. Lawlor needed to speak with me about my most recent labs. When I got in to see him, he had no idea why I was there. In addition, his staff is negligent in returning calls when I have to leave them a voice message. Just recently I called to find out the status of a referral that Dr. Lawlor requested. Still no response.

His staff is not available. NO ONE GIVES YOU THE LAB ORDER. THERE IS NO WAY TO REACH THE DOCTOR - he now has a call center that can only call his staff for them to call you back - that can be up to weeks until they call you back. The only reason he has patients is he is the only rheumatologist within 80 miles. He refuses to provide the diagnosis to the insurance so unless you insist on the report you have to pay the full cost of the medications,Does not consider systems that may be related.

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
