Ft Lauderdale, FL |
Had hand surgery with Dr. Garrod in January 2017. He together with his staff were personable, knowledgeable, concerned and overall a place to go with hand issues. I would definitely recommend his practice highly.
Delray Beach, FL |
My visit to Dr Garrod was pointless. I'm not sure that he spent more than 60 seconds with me. No greeting. No eye contact. No concern. I have one finger that can hardly bend . He shrugged his shoulders. Told me he didn't know what was wrong and suggested no procedure or test to aid diagnosis. Regarding a growth another problem, he handed me a sheet of paper explaining the problem. Really? I wonder how much he is charging my insurance carrier. I will now go to a more competent and caring doctor

I have had two injuries treated by Dr Garrod. A few years ago, he treated a tendon problem in my left hand. Recently , He operated on my fractured elbow. Both experiences were very positive and resulted in excellent outcomes. Dr Garrod is an excellent surgeon and I would never hesitate to recommend him. In fact, I have done so with friends and they were appreciative. His staff reflects his high standards.
in Boca Raton, FL |
I visited Dr. Garrod after suffering with a painful locking thumb for over a year. He performed a 5-minute procedure for me under local anesthesia after which I felt immediate relief. He told me this was the most gratifying procedure he performs as he can see the immediate results of his work. I cannot say enough good things about him and his thoughtful, caring staff.

I have very painful injuries to both hands. Dr. Garrod operated on the first with great success and the second is being treated with cortisone. I plan to have him do surgery on the second hand. He is an excellent doctor and just a good guy.
in Pompano Beach, FL |
Dr. Garrod is a very highly skilled surgeon. He removed a tumor from my wrist with no pain and thoughtful precision. My hand is fine and it is as though the tumor was never there. I have extreme confidence in him and would highly recommend him to anyone who has a need for hand surgery. His office staff are friendly, professional, kind, and are readily available when you call to answer questions or attend to needs.

I am so thankful so have found such a kind caring Surgeon ! I put a knife through my left palm in July 2016 and severed two tendons in my left hand (long finger) From the first phone to Dr. Garrod's office they were able to accommodate and find a potential time for surgery. After the surgery Dr. Garrod called to see how I was doing..what a gent.
in Boca Raton, FL |
DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! Misdiagnosed followed by incorrect surgerIES (yes more than one) leading to 2 years of 24 hour pain (because no other hand surgeons wanted to touch his mistake) until I finally found a doctor of a friend to do the correct surgery. He was even arrogant when confronted. Looked him up after the fact and he has past lawsuits!
This is an untrue, unfounded review. Quite frankly I do not believe such a patient exists and this libelous review was more likely posted by a unhappy patient or a competitor.
in Boca Raton, FL |
I recently had a tendon released in my right wrist by Dr. Garrod and was not only completely satisfied with his professionalism and caring way, but his office staff and staff at the surgical facility was kind, caring and professional. I would and have recommended Dr. Garrod to many friends.

The Dr. is informative, personable. He has great patience and explains the treatment needed. His staff is polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Garrod to my friends or family.

I have known Dr.Garrod for many years. He is an excellent Orthopedic Hand Surgery physician and a fine human being. He is always concerned with his patients feelings. On a scale of 1 to 10 I have no problem in giving him an 11.Both of my hand surgeries with Dr.Garrod turned out with excellent results.
in Delray Beach, FL |
Dr. Garrod Performed a DRF surgery with insertion of a volar plate. For two months and continuing today I suffer from serious nerve and hand functioning issues, including serious atrophy. These are excruciating and debilitating in nature. He summarily dismissed me as his patient because I sought a second opinion. This arrogant dismissive attitude, while i suffered serious complications after the surgery, that he did not expect, was a mystery to me. I hope the damage is not irreparable.
in Coral Springs, FL |
caring..experienced.... diagnostician. excellent people person....staff and office..make you feel comfortable.....would recomend 100%..... have complete faith in him......I had a fairly simple procedere.....and it was a piece of cake...... the feel of a real old time family DR.......rare these days......
in Boca Raton, FL |
From my arrival to my departure the experience was excellent. I was admitted to the examination room five minuted before the time of my appointment after having completed appropriate questions. Dr. Garrod listened to the description of my symptoms; had X-Rays performed without need to repeat any of these. He returned to the examining room and confirmed the diagnosis; treated me and prescribed a splint which was fabricated on site. Post treatment directions were given and back to golf I go.
