As a General Internist and addiction Medicine Specialist, I believe in the general well being of my patients. I encourage individual patients to participate in their care through making efforts to understand their disease(s). I also emphasize preventative care and healthy living through diet, exercise and taking a break.
Dr Edmunds graduated MBBS University of Benin, Nigeria in 1980 ant then went on to the University of Leeds, England and obtained a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) in 1986. His Internship and Residency followed at the New York Methodist-Presbyterian Hospital in Brooklyn, New York from 1991 to 1994. He has had extensive experience as a Hospitalist in different Hospitals as well as an out patient general Internist. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and also Certified in Office based Opioid addiction treatment. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, Member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Member of the American Medical Association.
