Dr. Kelley Young, MD
I am dedicated to ensuring patients understand their disease process and the risks versus benefits of available treatments. In cancer care today, there are often more than one reasonable option for how to proceed, it is important to know a patient's history, values, and priorities in order to guide the best course of treatment for that individual. It is also important to have a doctor that you can trust to be available and listen to questions and concerns during each phase of treatment and recovery. I believe that good communication is at the core of good care, both between patients and their caregivers with myself, as well as between myself and your primary physician and other treating specialists. Whether you have been newly diagnosed with cancer or a blood problem, you are seeking a second opinion, or you are less than satisfied with your current care, I would like to help, call for an appointment.

Dr. Young's Care Philosophy

The patient comes first. I will spend the time needed to answer questions and assist in the tough decisions. Controlling symptoms like pain and nausea in order to improve quality of life during the course of cancer treatment is a priority. This makes aggressive therapy when cure is the goal more possible, and functional support when we can only offer to try and control the disease for a while a central issue at visits with the physician.

Very knowledgeable. Provided my mom very compassionate and excellent care. Interested in your mental state as well as your physical problems. Goes above and beyond the call of duty. Takes the time to get to know her patients on a personal level. I couldn't have asked for a better physician. Kept us well informed and put all services in place to keep my mom comfortable and to help ease my mom and the family through her transition. Thank you Dr. Young.

I've never met a doctor like Dr. Young. She melted my stress by giving me the simplest, most carefree healthcare experience I have ever had. She got me in right away, addressed all my concerns with an unbelievable level of expertise that was clear, straightforward and easy to understand. She told me exactly what to expect next and I left feeling more confident than I have ever felt leaving a doctor's office. Dr. Young's motive is to help people...and that is her only motive. I am so grateful!
