Dr. Melvin has saved my life, literally. He’s the first psychiatrist I’ve had in 20 years who really worked with me to help treat my illnesses. He very much cares about his patients. I have severe PTSD and I hardly trust anyone because of it. Well, I’ve seen Dr Melvin for 5 years. I trust him implicitly. I think he’s one of the most compassionate doctors I’ve ever met. If not for him, I wouldn’t be alive. I 110% recommend him.

We saw Dr. Melvin during a stay at Cabell Huntington Hospital while my child was in crisis. His personality was caustic, if I am being kind about it. He is a poor listener and is more intent on being "right" than he is seeking a proper diagnosis. Moreover, he grossly misrepresented what acute, in-patient psychiatric care entails. This misrepresentation set my child's healing process back considerably. He has no business dealing with people at all, much less those in poor psychiatric health.
