This content was provided by Dr. Hendricks "Dr. Kelly Hendricks is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, considered to be one of the area's preeminent experts in adult orthopedic reconstruction, specifically in knee and hip replacements. He practices with Kansas City Joint Replacement in Overland Park, Kan., and is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center. Dr. Hendricks is frequently called upon by orthopedic colleagues for difficult or complex surgical procedures, and is one of the region's few surgeons who performs total femoral replacements. Although his specialty is hip and knee procedures, Dr. Hendricks has been extremely involved in all aspects of orthopedic education at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he serves as an associate professor. In addition to his patient care and teaching, Dr. Hendricks is an active mentor for orthopedic residents and medical students and served on the university's orthopedic education committee. Over the course of his tenure, he has directed his formidable talents and energy to enhancing the clinical, academic and research areas of the university's orthopedic program, and growing the hip and knee fellowship program. He has published, presented and lectured extensively on his area of expertise.
