After an accident in which I tore my rotator cuff and fractured my elbow I want to see Dr. Lawhorn. I had seen him one other time for another shoulder injury. My experience has been nothing but positive. That is why I went back a second time. He will be my orthopedic whenever I need one. He will also be my recommendation to anybody that needs an orthopedic surgeon /doctor. I love his bedside manner. He has a little bit of the southern charm to him but he exudes confidence. I went to my surgery for my rotator cuff without a worry in the world. I’m also one of those people that just wants to go go go and he’s really good about setting expectations as wel as letting me know not to push my limits and heal properly. The results been fantastic. I am still going to physical therapy but that is been a great experience as well.

I had two visits to the ER in 2 days for severe pain in my shoulder. The dr was unempathetic, dismissive and condescending. Even if he couldn’t help me, a little bed side manner and compassion would have gone a long way.

Dr. Lawhorn puts the best interest of the patient in front of everything else. While the decision to undergo the knee procedure we did was not popular with me or my family his ability to break everything down and explain the pros and cons was very comforting. Once in surgery his knowledge and expertise allowed him to perform techniques that provided. The most stability as well as minimize time to heal. I absolutely recommend Dr. Lawhorn.
