I didn't have good experience with GI doctors until I met Dr. Fiman, He is a great doctor and I would highly recommend him. He makes your procedure experience easy and his staff is always nice and friendly.

I have never seen a GI before. He was friendly and made me feel at ease talking about embarrassing issues. I know he hears stuff like this all the time, but I was mortified to discuss my stool - frequency, consistency, etc...Dr Fiman and his staff are professionals. They make you feel like every question is valid. He took his time to address all my cnocerns

Dr. Fiman has been treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders for over 25 years.  He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, with 2 additional recertifications in Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  He is a past president of the Texas Gulf Coast Gastroenterology Society. He is also a former United States Naval officer, with a rank of Lieutenant Commander.  He has also been listed in The Best Doctors in America for over 10 years.  

He has more than 500 patients with inflammatory bowel disease in his practice, one of the largest patient populations with these disorders in the Houston area, outside of the Medical Center.  He is one of the few adult gastroenterologists who will see adolescent patients (age 14 ) with these disorders.  He also serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, Gulf Coast chapter.

He has performed over 15,000 colonoscopy exams and over 7,000 upper gastrointestinal endoscopies, and his performance on colonoscopies grades out in the top tier of gastroenterologists across the United States.

He has also successfully treated hundreds of patients with symptomatic hemorrhoids with the CRH-O'Regan hemorrhoid banding device, which allows patients to have their hemorrhoids treated in his office in a quick and pain-free manner (some mild discomfort can occur, but there should be no pain with this procedure), and allows them to return to work or full activity in a manner of hours.
