Dr. Oh graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1994. He served as a Transitional resident in Canton, Ohio and then completed an ophthalmology residency and a 2-year vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Oh also went to the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon to study electrophysiology and inherited retinal degenerations in 1999. Dr. Oh was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill from 2001-2004. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Dr. Oh was recognized as a Heed-Knapp Foundation Fellow and a Ronald G. Michaels Foundation Fellow. He received the Foundation Fighting Blindness Career Development award (2001-2004) and was recognized as the Payne Stewart Foundation Fellow for 2002-2003. He has authored several book chapters and also more than thirty peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Oh has been voted by his peers as one of The Best Doctors in America for 2006-2008.
