I have been a patient of Dr. Childs for seven years. I would highly recommend Dr. Childs to both new and existing patients. It is not often that you find a doctor that is so professional, caring. Her attitude extends to her staff as well. Dr. Childs and her staff make each patient feel they are #1 and most important. Her office staff is a reflection of her attitude. She is prompt in her appointment schedules. In the rare case of a patient emergency if there is a short wait it's well worth it.

Dr. Childs spent time answering all my questions and made me feel comfortable and confident in her ability to treat my condition. I have been to other doctors but I feel that Dr. Childs goes the extra mile. I would recommend Dr. Childs to everyone looking for an A+ ophthalmologist!
Montclair, NJ |
The doctor is quick and efficient with her time with you but there generally is a wait although nothing unreasonable. Medical assistant is friendly. Have been a few times and each time reception could be friendlier which is too bad as otherwise the experience would be much more enjoyable. Decent parking in the back of building and hours on Saturday give this an extra star.

don't go unless you want to wait an hour for your appointment! That's how long I waited. I also go to another dr in that office for my headaches and I went last week saw the very full waiting room and said I can't wait long I have a newborn at home. The receptionist that is all for dr child's. and then today my husband waited an hour for his appointment ! Craziness!!

Dr. Childs has been my family ophthalmologist for about five years. She is excellent my son has been diagnosed with Marfan syndrome recently and she definitely stays on top of things with his vision. I would definitely recommend Dr. Child's to everyone great eye doctor.

Was unable to reduce eye pressure with prescribed medication.
in Woodland Park, NJ |
Dr. Childs is warm, kind and respectful. It is clear she takes into account the entire medical and health history of the patient during the exam. My husband and I each have wacky medical and eye disorder histories and we have the utmost confidence in her.

She is super nice...I'd recommend her to anyone. Her staff is friendly also they work with u.
East Hanover, NJ |
Her staff is rude, she seems bothered that she has to talk to you and she prescribed the wrong eye glass prescription. I went twice and I will not return to her.
