Dr. Seymour's bio
This content was provided by Dr. Seymour "Dr. Seymour started life on a small farm in rural Kansas before completing her undergraduate degree at Denison University and medical school education at University of Kansas Medical Center, graduating first in her class. She moved to Nashville in 2011 and completed training in both pediatrics and internal medicine at Vanderbilt, becoming board certified in both. Dr. Seymour enjoys caring for patients of all ages and offers full well woman care. She is a member of the St. Thomas Hospital medical staff and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She sees new babies in the nursery at St. Thomas Midtown and Vanderbilt hospitals. If you deliver at another hospital, she will be happy to meet your baby in the clinic after you return home. A life long interest in dance has led to a collaboration with the Nashville Ballet Company where she serves on the health council for the professional dancers and provides specialized primary care for dancers of all levels. In addition, she serves on the national expansion board for Girls In The Know, a nonprofit dedicated to the education and empowerment of girls. She continues to be very involved in the community, working with the "Golden Triangle" refugee community, tutoring at the Nashville Adult Literacy Council and teaching 5 year old Sunday school at her church. She enjoys gardening, live music of all kinds, taking classes at the Nashville Ballet and spending time with her family. Dr. Seymour has served as a consultant to Nashville Parent Magazine on issues related to pediatric health"
