Dr. Karlotta Davis received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and her Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Denver's 5280 Magazine cited Dr. Davis as a top doctor in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and best OB/GYN doctor in 1998.
She was also named Top OB/GYN for the Consumers' Research Council of America, and has received awards in patient safety and surgical teaching excellence.
Additionally, Dr. Davis has served as the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs/Quality for the University of Colorado's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Davis chose the field of female pelvic medicine & reconstructive surgery because she believes that incontinence and prolapse is a hidden epidemic, noting that many women do not bring up their concerns in this area with their doctors. Improving these women's quality of life is what Dr. Davis likes most about her work.
Serving as head of quality assurance for the OB/GYN department since 2000, Dr. Davis has spearheaded efforts to reduce accidents and medical oversights. In 2011, the University of Colorado Hospital system was ranked the highest-performing academic hospital in the United States for the delivery of quality health care.
She is proud to provide evidence-based options that take into consideration her patient's goals and desires as the highest priority. Dr. Davis is focused on patient interaction, particularly in communicating complex issues, so the patient understands what is going on. Her high level of patient satisfaction has won Dr. Davis many happy patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys playing the flute with local symphonies, having trained with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Academy.
