Dr. Chernoff is very abrupt, stern and quite dismissive of questions. She may be a good doctor but she needs to develop a better bedside manner especially with kids.

Three of my children have seen Dr. Chernoff over the years. This is the second time we have had an emergency situation and her only available spot was 3-4 weeks out. Both times I insisted her staff let her know it is an emergency and to please accommodate us sooner. Both times she said no. This is not a doctor I would like to support or have take care of my children any more.

I brought my daughter to see Dr Chernoff and was immensely satisfied. I don’t know what another reviewer was talking about her bedside manner being inappropriate??? Because I thought she was very kind and understanding and even went above and beyond fixing things that she didn’t already have an appointment for! Highly recommend this dr and I will be using her again for any of my children’s dermatological needs in the future!

Dr. Chernoff is a competent doctor but she has an extremely rude bedside manner. We keep going because she is good at dispensing medicine but can be extremely ill-mannered and abrupt. This abruptness gets in the way of listening to patient's history because I am always afraid of offending her and causing her to erupt.

I brought my daughter in to see Dr. Chernoff. Immediately my daughter was taken by her kindness and beautiful bedside manner. It is no wonder Dr.Chernoff is a leader in her field. My only wish is the I could have her as my doctor as well! Clearly the best of the best!

Dr.Chernoff doesn't seem to know how to interact with children. At a recent visit she was perfectly pleasant to me but very rude to my son, like a vet treating a naughty dog. I have had many wonderful experiences with pediatricians in Manhattan and have never seen anyone who has such a poor bedside manner. I am not sure if this was a one off experience because the nurse that brought us is was also really rude! I'm actually amazed they work with children, they clearly do not enjoy it.
