Dr. Akhtar is not compassionate. My mother had open wounds which were infected with staph. She had to experience debridement treatments each day. These consisted of vigorous scrubbing of her wounds to remove dead tissue. They were painful. During one treatment, Dr. Akhtar entered her room and asked about her day. She was in pain and was crying. She indicated she was having a bad day and he asked dismissively, because of this? pointing to her feet. I would choose another doctor.
