Dr. Pearl is the kind of physician you dream about! She is compassionate, caring and treats each patient as her own family. Easy to talk to, she actually listens, understands your concerns and deals with them head on. I would recommend her to anyone experiencing chronic pain; if there's a way to alleviate that pain, she'll find it. I can finally walk again unaided, without pain, after several years. Seeing her was the best decision I've ever made. Excellent surgeon!

Dr Pearl is an amazingly compassionate and throughout surgeon. I met her in Montreal where she worked in conjunction with my neurosurgeon. She reminded me that some doctors still have enough compassion along with their skill to truly define what medical care is supposed to be. I have not forgotten her.

As a health care worker, I am often skeptical with regards to physicians and dread going to the doctor. When I finally had enough of my back pain, I saw Dr. Pearl. She knew I wasn't looking to simply cover up the pain but figure out what was actually causing the problem. Dr. Pearl has gone above and beyond to review my scans with me ensuring I have a complete understanding of my situation. She takes the time to discuss treatment options and together we decide on a plan of care that is appropriate. I could not ask for a better neurosurgeon. She truly has a heart her patients.

I went in for an opinion for my chronic back pain after a car accident aggravated it to the point I could not function. Walking was becoming too painful and sleeping was unbearable. I didnt want to be on pain medication all the time and it was preventing me from working. Dr Pearl was very kind and listened to my needs. She reviewed all the option available for my pain and she and her team made a plan that I could afford and worked with my insurance. I am 4 weeks post operation and can see my mobility returning, pain med free. I highly recommend her as a neurosurgeon and I look forward to my follow up appointments.

Healthgrades We had a very negative experience with our father at Mclaren. No one seemed to know what to do or how to help him. Then they brought in Dr. Pearl. Right away, she put us at ease. She explained the problem and was the only doctor in that place who was honest and transparent. She saved Dad’s life, but she saved us too. There is a special place in heaven for angels like her.

I have "lived" my life for the last 23 years with severe back pain. The pain could be excrueciating so it is hard to stay active. I seen many doctors and surgeons. They told me to take pills, told me to lose weight and that all my problems are bc Im "obese". Dr. Pearl is the only dr I ever seen who didn't fat shame me and treats me like a person. I would recommend her to anyone who is sick of being treated like an addict (im not) and just wants to have some hope for some kind of a life.

Dr Pearl operated on my nephew in early June of 2017 when he was found to have extensive cancer in his thoracic spine. While the surgery was successful, her aftercare was non-existent. She has refused to sign orders so that he can receive the therapy he needs to walk again and she has neglected his leaking surgical site. She has conducted herself more like a pouting child than a professional. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.

I was in a bad car crash and I broke my neck. I had tried everything to reduce my pain including a previous surgery. I was referred to Dr. Pearl earlier this year and she is a dream! We weighed the risks and decided on surgery. I was very nervous at first but Dr. Pearl was so kind and explained step by step everything that the surgery entailed. The operation went great! A week after was the first time in 3 years that I didn't have pain. Dr. Pearl is an angel sent from God.

My daughter was diagnosed with stage 3 glioblastoma and Dr. Pearl was the surgeon who operated on her. During the 9 hour surgery, she was able to remove almost all of the tumor. Along with the radiation and chemo, my daughter was declared cancer free and is now in remission. I cannot express how grateful I am for the level of care Dr. Pearl provided. Not only is she highly competent, she was extremely personable and really helped relieve the fear we had about the surgery. Excellent physician.
