Dr. Wong's bio
This content was provided by Dr. Wong "I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona for my undergraduate and medical school training. I then completed my Orthopedic surgery residency training in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and went on to further subspecialty training with a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center and a fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Rothman Institute. My clinical interest is in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of upper extremity conditions, ranging from shoulder arthritis and rotator cuff tears to thumb arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome and everything in between. Hand, elbow and shoulder problems can have such a tremendous impact on a patient's quality of life, affecting not only their recreational activities but their ability to work as well. I find it truly rewarding to help treat these conditions so that patients can recover and return to the activities that they enjoy."
This content was provided by Dr. Wong "My patient care philosophy is based upon the concept of "shared-decision making". Since many of the conditions I treat have both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, it is my goal is to educate patients about their orthopedic problem and discuss the pros and cons of various treatment options so they can make an informed decision about their care. Regardless of the treatment plan chosen, my goal is to help patients return to their daily work and recreational activities. "
