This content was provided by Dr. Scruggs "My decision to pursue a career in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation began in medical school. I was attracted to the specialty because of its focus on return to function and management of pain. My current position allows me to treat patients with these goals in mind. I focus on the non-operative management of spine and other musculoskeletal conditions. My aim is to utilize conservative measures in order to decrease pain enhance and restore functional ability and improve quality of life. I perform procedures including cervical and lumbar epidural steroid injections facet joint injections medial branch radiofrequency neurotomy sacroiliac joint injections and other large joint injections. I am also specialty-trained in performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS)."

Dr.Scruggs is very kind and "listens" to the patient. He explained everything to me about the procedure to me. First he did a very complete exam.He is very professional and has a nice demeanor.

Dr. Scruggs is personable knowledgeable and very smart. I went with back and leg pain and he was able to diagnose my problem, create a plan and provide very clear instructions. I have complete trust in his judgement. No rush to surgery, he had a very broad plan and was very encouraging.
