At 73, I had major spinal surgery at Cedars Sanai in July of this year and the vascular surgeon who was opening me up pulled some scar tissue and tore a hole in my ureter. They called in an expert to repair the damage and that was how I met Dr. Houman. Prior to that I had never seen a urologist and I was fortunate the Senior urologist on staff was Dr. Houman. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional and compassionate with an investigative mind. He has shown true commitment to solving all my complications and health issues, whether it’s more in-depth testing or connecting with fellow colleagues and he listen’s to my information and considers me a data source with detailed information on my condition. He strives to be a partner in your healthcare, providing you the best care possible in a conservative yet effective treatment plan. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal approach for a patient with outstanding quality of medical care.

I rate Dr. Houman a 1 because there is no lower rating. I found his bedside manner to be frieghteing. He wanted to preform a semi-routine surgery on me in the ER which meant I would not get sedation. My surgery was only done in an OR because I inssisted. Then during the post-op visit he want to rip out the packing stating, "there is going to be pain, you might as well rip it off like a band-aid". The absurdity of this is I has a deep absces in the groin area that was packed. The packing tape was almost 2 feet long and yet this was his aproach, while the nurses remarked that I was clearly in visible pain though on high level pain killers. If you want a sympathetic physcian this is not the doctor for you.

cured my male fertility issues and helped up conceive! its really a tough road to navigate from a cost standpoint to knowing who to talk to. glad we met Dr. Houman, who made the process that much easier for us, really explained every step and navigated us through the process, couldn't ask for a more helpful doctor

dr. houman might be the best doctor I have ever seen. I was referred to him for erectile dysfunction, having seen numerous other urologists for this condition. they all offered the same old treatments, but Dr. Houman’s breadth of knowledge and available new treatment options has changed my sex life, I feel like im in my 20s again with the regimen he has me on. Truly one of a kind physician that has changed my life

I had issues with low libido and sexual dysfunction for so long before I had the luck of meeting Dr. Houman. He's a Men's health expert, and an incredible doctor in the field. Dr. Houman figured out how to treat my issues without any hesitation and I was back to my old self soon after our appointment. The doctors I tried before told me to give up and just accept it all. I saw Dr. Houman about 3 months ago for a health issue I had been dealing with for some time. From the moment he stopped foot into the room, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Houman exhibited deep knowledge of the issue at hand, probed thoroughly to understand it more deeply, and exhibited compassionate and caring bedside manner all throughout. I didn't feel rushed at all, and he made me feel very comfortable during my visit, something I can say for very few doctors in my life. I would highly recommend Dr. Houman to any of my family or friends.
