Care Philosophy

I specialize in the surgical management of benign and malignant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GI) tract. Specifically trained in laparoscopic resection of inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer I perform the full range of colorectal operations including reconstructive operations such as ileal pouches. My clinical research and administrative efforts are all focused on implementing perioperative care practices that ensure best patient outcomes. Bridging specialties to best care for GI surgery patients I particularly enjoy combined cases. For instance I regularly operate with the pediatric surgery team on younger patients with IBD or pelvic cancer. Until my exposure to surgery in medical school I thought I wanted the patient-doctor relationship well-known to primary care. With experience however I realized this relationship was possible in the practice of surgery. Colorectal surgery allows me the privilege of long-term relationships with a great variety of patients; close relationships with my colleagues; and administrative positions that promote the best care.Read more

This arrogant butcher gave the chances of my husband's surgery to be 99/100 and then she failed. Now my husband has a colostomy that cannot be reversed. There was nothing wrong with the sphincter until she destroyed it with careless mistakes. Then she sent her students to visit us, she did not have the character to see us until discharge and then her only answer was that sometimes things happen. Maybe they do but not when you tell us 99/100. I wish I had never heard of this uncaring mangler.

She is the worst doc I have ever met. Arrogant and don't care. She did colectomy on my father and his abdomen got infected.
