Dr. Julie Lewerenz, MD

I saw doctor Lewerenz for several years throughout high school. She recklessly over-prescribes medicine. At one point, after monkeying around with different med combinations, she had me on a lethal combination of two heavy benzodiazepines plus a maximum dose of amphetamine. I ended up dropping out of high school because she had me on so many drugs that I couldn’t function. I went from honor student to drop out under her care. Lo and behold, when I finally stopped seeing Dr. Lewerenz and ceased taking all of the crap she was experimenting with, I functioned just fine. I have been off meds for over ten years, but I can’t undo the damage she caused to the trajectory of my life. I hoped when I searched her name that I would see that she is out of the drug-pushing game, but I learned that she just moved to a different state. In fact, she suspiciously holds licenses in TWELVE states. That’s an average of two years of practice in each state over a 25 year career peddling drugs to teens.

Dr. Lewerenz was thorough, kind, and really listened to me- It was evident she reviewed my paperwork prior to the appointment and I did not feel rushed at all during the hour and a half evaluation. In the past I would be seen for 20 minutes, diagnosed, and given a crappy medication that wasn't right for me..that was NOT the case here! After years of struggling with anxiety and depression and trialing TONS of different medications, I finally feel like me again and I reallly can't thank Dr. Lewerenz enough! If you have been to countless mental health professionals and been let down time after time then I strongly recommend this practice. The doctor is by far the best and Keyona the office manager/owner is so so wonderful! (She spent over 30 minutes on the phone when I called to make my initial appointment!! You can tell she genuinely cares about the people she is helping. Thank you VPCS!!!!

The doctors there are very experienced and will work with you no matter what you come in there for they do their best to make sure that you are happy when you leave their office everyone in the office is very friendly and understandable of any situation that you may be going through
