Our mission at the Artemis Center is to inspire and empower individuals to take the reins of their own lives – to make healthy choices each day, to feed both body and mind a nutritious diet, to balance emotions, and to find a higher meaning in life and access to one's creativity. The name Artemis illustrates the Center's mission. Artemis is the ancient Greek goddess of the moon and the hunt. She represents feminine strength, confidence, and independence. She placed great value on her freedom - freedom to ask questions, seek solutions, and confidently pursue her own path to complete wellness.Gynecology is literally "the study of woman". At Artemis, we embrace the holistic model of health: optimizing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the individual to achieve true wellness and vitality. This broader approach emphasizes prevention, education and empowerment to achieve the best health and vitality possible at any age.

Dr. Madejski is on the medical staff of Kaleida Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Eastern Niagara Hospitals. She is an instructor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Practitioner-Member of the American Holistic Health Association. She opened the Artemis Center for Health and Wellness in 2008 to promote holistic women's health. Gynecology is literally "the study of woman". Traditional gynecology has focused on reproductive health, contraception, and screening for infectious diseases and cancer. In addition to these important services, the Artemis Center asks the deeper question: "What ails thee?" What are the barriers to a woman achieving optimal health and vitality? Holistic philosophy holds that we are each a co-creator of our life and health. So many of the chronic diseases that plague us are best addressed through prevention, stress reduction, empowerment, a healthy life style, and insight into the cultural, psychological and spiritual factors involved. We aim to explore the root causes of unhealthy behaviors and inspire women to make meaningful changes to improve their health.
